Food Distribution
CHAT has operated a food program for CHAT-property residents since 2018. Our food program gets donations from local businesses and food banks and delivers them to residents in need. CHAT Houses receive a food delivery weekly.
How it Works

Volunteers receive or pick up excess dry goods and produce and meats and breads from Trader Joe's and other vendors and organizations every week, as well as from the Contra Costa food bank once a month and the Chico Blue Bag food project every other month.

The food items are sorted and bagged. ​

The bags of food are distributed to each of the CHAT-managed residences.
