Board Member Spotlight: Elizabeth "Lizzy" Young

Elizabeth "Lizzy" Young has officially joined our Board of Directors, and she is such a welcome addition to our dedicated Board!

From Lizzy: "I’ve been living in Butte County for 15 years and fell in love with the community, and the easy access to hiking, swimming holes, lakes, and the river. My daughter, who is now six, was born in Paradise. I eventually started a food cart called Drunken Dumpling, which led to a restaurant opened in 2020, smack dab in the middle of the pandemic."

"I am passionate about real estate and helping people choose their dreams in real estate. I started buying real estate at 19 years old and by 25 had bought and sold 5 properties. I am now a realtor as well as a real estate investor."

"I love the outdoors, hiking kayaking, paddle boarding, and I especially love people. It has given me so much joy being a part of this community, and learning what it means to be a part of a community."

"My passion for real estate led to me wanting to join CHAT. I always felt like our rental system had inadequacies that contributed to homelessness and I often daydreamed about creating a system of my own that superseded an application and credit score. It was really cool to discover CHAT because they are doing just that and so much more."

"I am extremely excited to be a part of this organization as they celebrate their 10-year anniversary and grow into their next chapter!"
